Money, Debt and Welfare Benefits Advice that will let you take control of your finances
Between April 2006 and April 2007, the LSC Money Advice Service was delivered to 1054 clients, providing legal assistance to 342 people and delivering casework on behalf of 399 clients, in addition to representing 62 clients in courts, appeals and tribunal.
Funded by the Legal Services Commission, Money Advice is a FREE service that provides professional advice that will enable you to tackle your financial problems. We’ll help you to understand the issues that are facing you and we’ll work with you to make sure you know how to regain control of your finances. We’re trained to give advice in lots of different areas, so whatever your situation our trained advisors can assist you. We can help you with:
• Housing Problems - rent arrears, council tax bills and utility
• Personal finance – credit cards, overdrafts and loan repayments
• Benefit advice – welfare claims and entitlements
