Invest in Skills

Invest in Skills is a South Yorkshire initiative funded by the Learning and Skills Council, Objective 1 European Social Fund and Yorkshire Forward. Invest in Skills encourages businesses to invest in workforce development training by offering a subsidy of up to 40% of the direct cost of training

We act as managing agent and are responsible for the overall success of the scheme. We manage the training provider network, which delivers the workforce development team, as well as providing advice to local employers about the fund and managing all financial and audit requirements.

The Invest in Skills programme has realised some significant successes, distributing over £11 million to date. This money directly benefits the South Yorkshire business community and its employees, raising skill levels and improving business performance.
