MoneyHelp - supported by HBOS
Thank you for taking an interest in MoneyHelp, an initiative that A4e believes is vitally important in furthering financial education.
MoneyHelp is a tailored financial education programme, delivered in association with the high street bank HBOS that helps young and old alike understand the need to take control of their personal finances. We understand that many banking terms can be confusing, such as % APR and compound interest, so we cut out all that jargon, use simple terms and concentrate on the facts.
We help people understand how little things can make a big difference. It may be learning to budget or opening a bank account to help pay your bills more effectively. We make the learning fun by using quizzes and group activities.
MoneyHelp is currently available in six geographical areas Edinburgh, Newcastle, Calderdale, Leeds, Sheffield and North London boroughs of Enfield and Edmonton and, yes they are FREE to schools and to community groups in all these areas.

All our workshops cut out the confusing elements and jargon of personal finance and use simple language and concentrate on facts.
The following are just a few examples of the feedback that the programme has received:
"The workshop provided me with lots of information and gave me choices"
"It showed me that I need to look after my money better"
Workshops for students are delivered in schools and are interactive and fun, focusing on real life situations. The programme is tailored to the needs of individual schools and has strong links to Citizenship, PSHE and Enterprise.
