Money, Debt and Welfare Benefit Advice for City Council Tenants

Advice 4 Stoke is a FREE advice service available to City Council Tenants. It is a programme that addresses money problems through impartial, professional advice and is designed to enable people improve their financial situation. We enable people to regain control of their finances. Our advisors are trained to give advice in lots of different areas, so whatever someone’s situation is we can help them. We can help with:

  • Debt Problems - rent and council tax arrears, utility payments, fines and possessions 
  • Personal finance – credit cards, overdrafts, loan repayments, charge cards, telephone and unsecured loans
  • Welfare Benefit advice – claims and entitlements

How do we help people?

We understand that people will be dealing with a unique set of issues, so we believe it’s important to meet them on a one-to-one basis. We work closely with people so that we can understand their situation and then provide professional, confidential advice and support. We’re also able to help people with making applications, filling in paper work and we can even negotiate with creditors on our customers’ behalf.
