Education and Enterprise has a range of engaging, innovative and challenging activities that will put enterprise at the heart of learning.

Enterprise Training For Teachers
An interactive and informative session to enhance teachers’ understanding of enterprise and how it can be delivered. It also enables teachers to analyse their current teaching strategies in order to enhance their enterprise skills further.

Money Matters
An enterprise activity to highlight the key factors of financial literacy in a fun yet informative way. Pupils are taken through the journey of each character starting work and how they are paid. They have the opportunity to purchase their first car, investigate different finance options and interest rates. The next step is to look into different options when moving out of the family home such as mortgages, renting, part-buy, insurances, personal budgeting, financial statements and consequences of debt. The last session considers economic influences on personal finances. Teachers will receive training and delivery pack prior to delivering the programme. Enterprise Taskforce tutors can deliver sessions at an additional charge.

Being The Best
A six-module programme introducing the key concepts of enterprise through the eyes of an up-and-coming pop group. Students are issued a series of challenges to test how they would react to some of the factors central to the pop music industry, as well as gain a clear understanding of the principles of running a business.

Car Wars
A half-day ‘production line’ activity to illustrate key aspects of running a multi-departmental company. Students work in teams to design and produce cars for a particular client group limited resources and lots of imagination! They then have to develop marketing materials; sales pitch and use their persuasive bargaining powers to sell to their chosen client. But just as thing running like clockwork, additional pressure is added as economic factors change. This activity can be delivered over a full day with the added benefit of a Motor Show.

Retail Trial with Sainsbury’s at Bells
A half-day activity to highlight the different functions within the retail industry and illustrate the enterprise capabilities required to run a local store. Students battle it out to be the best performing Sainsbury’s at Bells branch as they work in small teams on a series of interactive challenges. Topics include marketing, customer service and distribution with opportunities to present their ideas and impress the visiting experts!

Paper Dreams
A half-day session to inspire the imagination of pupils as they work in teams to create a viable business from just one sheet of plain paper! Delivery staff will get into characters as money lenders, trade representatives and company employees for a fun and interactive experience! Throughout the activity they will need to make decisions regarding business objectives, individual job roles, borrowing, selling to a range of customers and marketing their products.

Dream Team
An enterprise activity that introduces basic employability skills in a team environment. Students are given challenges in order to identify their future aspirations, career paths and goal setting to meet their expectations.
