Invest in Skills
The Invest in Skills programme supports enterprise in South Yorkshire, by providing a subsidy against the direct cost of staff training. The European Union has made funding available to Sole Traders and Small and Medium Enterprises (less than 250 employees) in the region to support their training.
Eligible companies are entitled to a 40% subsidy against the cost of training.
Who is eligible?
Companies that employ less than 249 people and are based and pay business rates in South Yorkshire.
There are some exceptions and A4e cannot support training in the following areas:
Mandatory training - Qualifications and training needed in order to be able to do the job role. e.g. Gas fitters need to have CORGI
Legislative Training - Such as First Aid and Basic Health & Safety (however we can support Advanced Health & Safety)
Invest in Skills focusing on improving the skills of people over and above the level that their job role requires, helping them to develop new skills, as well as impacting on company productivity. We work with over 150 training providers that have undergone a rigorous quality approval process, so any training is of the highest professional standards. A4e will introduce you to a provider who is best positioned to meet your training needs, but if you have already identified a training provider you would like to work with then we can accommodate that too.
Invest in Skills can support your staff and company development and millions of pounds of workforce development funding has already benefited South Yorkshire businesses.
